Question

The 1936 Public Order Act  prohibits the wearing of uniforms in connection with political objects and the maintenance by private persons of associations of military or similar character". Britain First members seem to stride about in what is to all intents and purposes a uniform and the movement maintains  a vigilante wing called the "Britain First Defence Force". As such activities are in direct contravention of the 1936 Act can you ask the Commissioner why the police appear to ignore this issue?

Where the MPS believe offences have been committed, files are submitted to the CPS as this offence requires the charging authority of the Attorney General.
