Through the Team London Young Ambassadors Youth Summit over 500 items were donated to the Waterloo food bank, a basic action that we hope will be repeated across the 12 boroughs that were represented.  The youth summits are designed to recognise and inspire both existing and potential Team London Young Ambassadors, with 90% of previous students stating that they are more likely to volunteer as a result of the confidence and skills that they developed in the workshops.  By gaining a better understanding of local issues, such as food waste, and discussing practical solutions the young people leave with tangible action plans that can be implemented in to their day to day lives. The Youth Summits form part of the wider Team London Young Ambassador Programme which has so far achieved 24,000 young people actively volunteering.
