The table below provides this information. This is based on the ONS Labour Force Survey using the April-June quarter for the years 2009-2014. As there is no Standard Industrial Classification Accommodation for hospitality or catering the food and beverage activities definition has been used. A person in the selected sector is defined as working in the selected sector if they are aged 16 or over and their main job is in that sectors. Workers originally from outside the UK has been based on their country of birth. The data is subject to sampling variability and not seasonally adjusted so should be treated with caution.
