I have set out my plan to achieve compliance with EU legal limits for nitrogen dioxide (NO2) by 2020. This will require further action at all levels of Government, including implementing the Ultra Low Emission Zone.

The recent European Court of Justice ruling is a matter for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), as the competent national authority and the defendant in the case bought by Client Earth.
