While we value the contributions made by leaders of different faith groups at the City Hall Remembrance Day ceremony, do you think it is also now time to formally recognise the contributions and sacrifices by those from a non-religious perspective and invite an appropriate speaker to take part? Will you liaise with the Chair of the Assembly on this?

The Annual Service of Remembrance at City Hall aims to reflect the contributions and sacrifices of people across a wide spectrum of communities. I am happy to liaise with the Chair of the Assembly to ensure that the service, and those that take part in it, continues to provide a fitting occasion to honour the thousands of Londoners who lost their lives during the two World Wars and in other conflicts.
