TfL already has a programme of promotional activity includes free guided walking weekend events and walk to school accreditation schemes. In addition, investment in infrastructure such as Legible London, footway asset renewal and major public realm schemes provide better walking environments for Londoners, making it an accessible and appealing choice leading to longer term uptake. Half of all the walking in London is as part of longer trips on London's world classpublic transport system which enables Londoners to incorporate activity into their daily routine.

I will be working together with boroughs, partner organisations, including TfL, to consider the recommendations of the LHC.
