The voluntary approach to the Living Wage has resulted in more people being paid the London Living Wage compared to 2008. Research from Queen Mary University of London last year indicates that 18,800 employees were working for just over 200 accredited Living Wage employers. This research did not include staff at those employers who pay the LW but are not currently accredited. Furthermore, since then a further 200 employers have become accredited.
