Teach First participants are paid full time for the two years of their programme whilst they train towards their Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). The work placement at the GLA is voluntary, with travel and lunch expenses paid by the GLA. The five Teach participants undertook their placements for between 2-3 weeks each. This is in line with the GLA’s approach which is to offer short unpaid work experience placements linked to education.

These opportunities are for individuals over the course of their study, where the placement offered supports requirements of individuals’ educational course.
