Question

While the Metropolitan Police are right to celebrate their successes, do you think posters doing so should acknowledge non-MPS sources of funding? The MPS have recently placed advertisements in Greenwich claiming success against gang and gang activity without any recognition The Royal Borough of Greenwich has provided the impetus and substantial funding of the local anti-gang unit making these successes?

I am a firm believer that tackling issues such as gangs requires an integrated multi agency response. I understand that the MPS shared the poster messages in advance with the Local Authority. The poster is part of a specific 'you said, we did' initiative by the MPS to inform the public about the action police are taking to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. On other occasions the MPS have publicised partner's involvement in joint operational activities.
