Question

In the 'frequently asked questions' for the Queens Park Place development, N6, it states (at the time of writing) that tenants in the affordable housing will not have access to the secure cycle parking. Do you agree that this undermines the aims of the London Plan cycle parking standards, and your cycling vision, and will you examine how to ensure cycle parking and similar provisions are made available to all residents in planning policy and guidance?

This particular application was not referable to me and therefore I do not have access to the full details or plans. The FAQs state that "affordable tenants will not have use of the main private residential entrance, private courtyard gardens or basement and cycle parking", however it is unclear from this FAQ as to whether there is separate cycle parking for the affordable block. My London Plan requires developments to provide secure, integrated and accessible cycle parking facilities and I expect all planning authorities to apply this policy to all developments.
