According to data from the English Housing Survey (2009 to 2011), there are approximately 6,000 households with children living in tall buildings in London (defining tall buildings as those of 20 or more storeys in line with the recent New London Architecture exhibition), of which approximately 5,000 are in social housing. The vast majority of these homes were built between 1945 and 1980.
