Heathrow Airport's proposal is for a privately funded scheme and they have not consulted me about it.

Such a clear acknowledgement from Heathrow management that the airport could and should be doing more to provide noise mitigation measures to local people is welcome. The recent Managing Aviation Noise report published by the Civil Aviation Authority revealed that Heathrow spends a significantly smaller amount on noise mitigation measures per passenger than the other major European airports. Amsterdam Schiphol spends more than five times as much per passenger, for instance.

There is a strong case to argue that the proposed fund should indeed be in place regardless of whether the airport is expanded. I would welcome your support in securing that outcome.
