Increasing frequencies does naturally tend to lead to an increase in usage. It also of course increases operating costs. TfL carefully assesses potential frequency increases (and other service changes) to evaluate whether benefits justify the additional cost. There have been around 375 permanent changes to the bus network since 2008, all of which are kept under review.

From the 21 June 2014 route W19 will be increased in frequency by 33 per cent on Monday to Saturday daytimes, from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes. The forthcoming increase in frequency is due to existing high demand at these times.  It will continue to operate every 30 minutes at other times.
