As part of improvements to customer service at stations, TfL is investing over £20 million in new and upgraded ticket machines - so that they all have modern touch screen design, provide better information, can issue refunds and can be used by staff to resolve incomplete journeys. All machines - both new and upgraded - will be able to vend Oyster cards.

Currently ticket machines feature a wide range of 17 language options. At this time this does not include Portuguese, but TfL will consider this in the future.
