The objectives of this proposal are broadly consistent with recommendations made by the Roads Task Force. Our road strategy should seek to improve the quality of place in residential areas and around schools whilst ensuring efficient connections to support economic development and unlock growth areas.

As part of the London Borough of Enfield's Northern Gateway Access Package, TfL is working with the borough on the proposed Northern Gateway Access Road (NGAR). LIP funding of £54,000 has been allocated to support this work in the current year.  Enfield is currently assessing various options for NGAR, using TfL's north London highway assignment model.

Their work is underway and I look forward to understanding the results of this work when they are available.
