The 'Garden Enfield' project was officially launched on the 5th of March at City Hall, and has already been delivering a range of food growing outcomes. To date, 10 primary schools received equipment and horticultural training allowing 270 children to experience growing at school, 3 acres of land have been put to use in the production of organic vegetables at Forty Hall Farm, and the Enfield Veg Co. box scheme launched. Through this 50 volunteers were engaged in growing, 1.5 jobs created, and a farm apprentice and horticultural apprentice supported.

Over the coming year, a further 15 schools will benefit from equipment and training, another 2 acres will be used to develop four new community growing projects, new green technologies will be developed at Forty Hall Farm, and business plans finalised for larger scale growing in the Borough.
