In spring/summer 2014, the LEP plans to support a £2m project with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to assess different ways to address skills shortages in the construction industry.

Much of my work on apprenticeships is cross-sectoral. I will continue to write to London businesses with over 250 employees to highlight the apprenticeship opportunities available; the LEP is funding a marketing campaign in spring 2014; and I will continue to create apprenticeship positions in the GLA Group and its supply chain.
