Question

Potential threat of the local community losing 'Queensbury Pub' in Brent, a pub cherished by local community and the only amenity of the kind remaining in the area, demonstrates importance of protecting such community amenities. Unfortunately, the proposed further alterations in the London Plan (FALP) do not promote strong policy to protect pubs from redevelopment. Will you be prepared to consider amending the Plan so that stronger protection is afforded to existing pubs?

Proposed further alterations to the London Plan (FALP) do provide support to boroughs to maintain, manage and enhance public houses where there is sufficient evidence of need, community asset value and viability in pub use. I will carefully consider all properly made consultation responses on the FALP which will strengthen it as the strategic planning framework for London.
