Question

As result of the new designation of an Opportunity Area in Harrow, housing supply target for housing has increased from 3,500 (2011 London Plan) to 5,927 (2014 London Plan) constituting an increase of 69.3%. Harrow Council's Intensification Area proposal was to accommodate 2,500 in the Intensification Area of Harrow Town Centre and Wealdstone and a further same number (2500) spread around the Borough. Can you advice how the distribution of 5,927 housing will take place in Harrow to meet the new housing target? E.g how many in the Opportunity Area and how many in the remaining areas of Harrow?

The revised figure for the Harrow and Wealdstone Opportunity Area is 2,800 homes. Therefore, it is anticipated that the remaining homes would be spread across the Borough - capacity has been identified via the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment.  However, the figure identified for the Opportunity Area is a minimum figure and more homes may be delivered as planning applications are submitted, approved and built.
