All twenty-one wards in Brent have a dedicated Police Constable and Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). Unlike under the previous policing model, these officers will only be abstracted from their ward duties in exceptional circumstances.

In addition, every ward in Brent has a named Police Sergeant whom the  public can contact to raise their concerns and discuss local issues.

Under the Local Policing Model, Brent will have 159 officers in Neighbourhood Teams by 2015, an increase of 98 on 2011 figures. All of those officers not dedicated to a specific ward can be deployed throughout their cluster; this provides the flexibility to move officers to where they are needed most, rather than assuming crime patters are the same in each area, requiring the same response.
