I would like to put on record that, in my opinion, the Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) you have completed to accompany your plans to close ticket offices lacks the necessary rigour needed for you to properly assess and monitor the effect the closures will have on different groups. For example, one performance indicator you have listed is 'Increased Quality of Customer Service', and you have set a target for this to increase from baseline figures taken at Period 6 2013/14. However, the targets you set about overall quality of service say nothing about how you will monitor this broken down by different groups protected under the Equality Act 2010. Even if overall quality goes up, this does not mean that this is the case across people of different ages, disabilities, ethnicities, genders, sexualities or religions. Will you please commit to re-doing your impact assessment so that Londoners can see exactly how these planned closures will affect different groups in our city?
