Since you came to office in 2008, please can I have the number of people who have taken voluntary and been given compulsory redundancy across all functional bodies that fall under your remit (i.e. TfL, MOPAC (including MPA), LFEPA, GLAP/LDA/LLDC) with the information broken down by year by gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation and disability?

Answer for Greater London Authority Redundancies

GLA response

The GLA have added ‘bisexual’ to the sexual orientation table, as they record that data for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals, rather than just lesbians and gay men. Please see Appendix 1465 (1)

MOPAC response

Information from 2008 to March 2014 is provided in Appendix 1465 (2) Note that information supplied about MOPAC was taken from a database that was set up when MOPAC was established. The information for the MPA has no such single source of data and has been compiled by collecting data from different sources and cannot be guaranteed to the same standard of accuracy.

LLDC response

Please see Appendix 1465 (3).

LFEPA response

Please see Appendix 1465 (4).

TfL response

Please see Appendix 1465 (5)

In the period from 2008 to 2014, just three people left under compulsory redundancy arrangements.  As such, it is not appropriate to break down this data as it may be possible to identify individuals. Therefore the annual figures below for TfL include both voluntary and compulsory redundancy.

LDA response

The GLA does not currently have access to the LDA’s human resources system and cannot therefore provide details on the number of redundancies which took place during the relevant period in question at this time. The GLA is seeking to purchase a licence to gain access to the LDA data.
