Within Neighbourhood Policing there is no distinction between core and non-core shifts.  Neighbourhood policing teams, unless abstracted, are dedicated to local neighbourhood policing.

Between January and February 2014 there were a total of 254,280 neighbourhood shifts worked (note this includes all 32 boroughs and all neighbourhood officers including dedicated ward officers).

13,834 (5.4%) were abstracted for AID purposes, although half of these (6,943) were local operations where officers remained on their borough.
