I welcome the publication of the Mental Health Crisis Concordat. It is important that people who are in mental health crisis can know what to expect from the wide range of partners who may be involved in their care, including the police and health services. MOPAC, MPS, NHSE London and my Head of Health at the GLA are in discussions about the implementation of the Concordat at local level. We aim to ensure a consistent, robust response.

Mental health is an important issue and I recently published a report: 'London Mental Health: The invisible costs of mental ill health' which seeks to shed light on the scope and scale of mental ill health in London. In addition mental health is one of the priorities of the London Health Board.
