Question

Are you aware of calls from local residents and their councillors in Sutton to extend the 154 bus service to some 400 houses on the former Queen Mary's Hospital site? What steps will you take to ensure the route, which once did serve the hospital, will connect these residents to the public transport network?

TfL were recently made aware of these requests. Route S4 currently provides a service for most of the former Queen Mary's Hospital site. Altering route 154 to serve it would lead to increased operating costs and longer journey times for over 3,400 passengers a day. However, TfL is happy to work with London Borough of Sutton to see if changes can be made to route S4 to better serve the area.
