There has been a significant rise in the number of apprentices aged over 25 since 2009/10. Are you concerned that this may have an impact on alleviating youth unemployment in London?

No, the majority of apprentices since 2009/10 have been under the age of 25. I am keen that apprenticeship opportunities are made available to young people to boost employment and that's why I committed to enhancing the London SME grant for businesses that recruit an apprentice aged 16-24 from £1,500 to £3,000.
