Question

Despite the Director of Commercial Planning having suggested in a letter to the local MP that TfL were looking to restart their proposals for development at Northwood Station, local constituents have had it clarified from Sainsbury's, the preferred anchor tenant of the development that their "plans have not been dropped and we will continue to work with TfL and the developer". Given that I have repeatedly asked the Mayor to instruct TfL in this matter (MWT 2013/4284, 2013/4285, 2013/0418, 2013/0417) will he finally detail precisely what TfL's plans for the station and surrounding land are, and offer immediate assurance to residents and traders in Northwood?

TfL is reconsidering its plans for its ownerships in Northwood in light of the representations it has received. The previous proposals have been dropped and TfL will not be bringing forward any scheme for Northwood until after a fresh period of public engagement and consultation.
