Households in London are entitled to the same exemptions as those in the rest of the country.

However, the Government has introduced Targeted Affordability Funding to allow LHA rates to rise at a faster rate in some areas of the country where market rents have risen especially fast. The bulk of those areas are in London, reflecting the specific conditions of London's rental market.
