In August 2012 you called on the government to make it compulsory for pupils to take part in two hours sport a day. Research from Stonewall and YouGov has revealed that nearly a quarter of lesbian, gay and bisexual pupils are bullied during sport. What will you do to support schools to address the specific problems lesbian, gay and bisexual pupils face when playing school sport?

In 2010 I gave my support to a film, produced by Stonewall, designed to stamp out homophobic bullying in schools. DVDs of the film were sent to all schools in Britain.

I continue to support efforts by schools to tackle homophobia.
