Question

I previously raised with you the failure of the police to notify Royal Mail of the closure of Hampstead Police Station resulting in a large pile of post being left on the doorstep; and I also raised with you the failure of the police to change the opening hours sign outside the station, levying the impression that this (and indeed other) stations were still open even though you had closed them as part of your cuts. Now, a fire alarm at the closed Hampstead Police station ran for 48 hours from Saturday morning and only stopped ringing on Monday lunchtime because officers did not have the access code to turn it off , resulting in sleepless nights for neighbours  all weekend due to   this  shrieking security system with officers unable to turn it off. Residents were told the matter was being looked into at a "senior level" which did no good and another  was transferred to the Met's lost property department by a hapless phone operator who did not even know they had a property services department and put her  through to lost property. When are you going to get a grip on the consequences of your police station closure plan?
