How much has been spent by the Metropolitan Police on investigating child abuse since 26 January 2011, and how many sworn Police Officers and staff have been involved in this work? How many reported victims of child abuse have there been in London since 26 January 2011?

Between 1st February 2011 and 31st January 2014, the cost of the Child Abuse Investigation Command totalled £108.9 million.

The number of officers and staff within the Child Abuse Command during the same period has ranged between 445 and 454 Police Officers and 174 to 197 Police Staff.

The Child Abuse Investigation Command has investigated 58,124 cases since 26th January 2011 (as at 20th Feb 2014) many of which will have involved more than one child.
