The MPS is working with the NHS, who jointly commission Haven services with police, to identify and address the reasons for the decline.  MOPAC is overseeing this work.

Work including training frontline officers has taken place to improve the number and quality of referrals. In this financial year to date there has been an 8 per cent increase in police referrals, 951 compared to 878 last year.
