Following the announcement that residents on Newham and the Royal Borough of Greenwich will receive discounted fares on the cable car, which is a form of transport which has received funding from the London Development Agency, Transport for London and the European Union, does Transport for London plan to offer any further discounted travel options to residents in other boroughs, such as discounted travel on the Waterloo to City Line for residents of Lambeth??

One of the primary aims of the Emirates Air Line was to support the regeneration of the Royal Docks and Greenwich Peninsula. To date, the Emirates Air Line has been meeting this aim largely through the increased number of visitors to the area. Whilst regular use by local residents is expected to increase as more homes and businesses are built in the area, TfL is trialling a discounted return fare to encourage passengers in the boroughs to use the Emirates Air Line and to generate additional revenue.
