Question

I understand that Sainsbury's have generously agreed to fund a new pedestrian crossing near their new store in Brixton Water Lane, which has been agreed with Lambeth council, who have accepted that there may be some traffic delays, but that pedestrian facilities will be improved. I understand that TfL are causing delays to progress on the new crossing, please can this now be expedited?

Written response from the Mayor A TfL signals engineer met with representatives of Sainsbury's and London Borough of Lambeth on 7 August where an approach to signalling the pedestrian crossing was agreed. TfL is currently awaiting a formal submission from Sainsbury's. Once received, TfL will progress the delivery of the scheme.
