The Mayor

Written response from the Mayor I understand that NHS England (London), together with the NHS Trust Development Authority and Monitor, is working with Clinical Commissioning Groups and NHS Trusts, including the London Ambulance Service, on the final elements of their planning to address sustained performance of the A&E four hour standard throughout 2013/14, including during winter.

In addition the Government has allocated an additional £500 million over the next two years to ensure A&E departments across the UK are prepared for winter.

As you'll be aware my Health Team has regular meetings with NHS England's London Regional Director, Anne Rainsberry, and London Ambulance Service Chief Executive, Ann Radmore and will be asking for an update on preparations for the coming winter.
