Answer for Affordable Housing

Written response from the Mayor I will continue to proactively use headroom from my affordable housing programmes to maximise the delivery of affordable housing in London.

Most recently, the third instalment of my Housing Covenant, Building the Pipeline, utilised some headroom from other affordable housing programmes, combined with additional resources from Government, to fund an additional 6,000 affordable homes. I intend to allocate further funding to this programme in the autumn.

The average household income of Londoners that have previously accessed First Steps is approximately £33,000 per annum.
