'Law Enforcement Officers' have a role to play in increasing the visible uniformed presence in Newham, which is being further enhanced by the addition of an extra 114 officers into neighbourhood teams by 2015.

There are clear distinctions between the two uniforms, to enable the public to differentiate between council employees and police officers.
