TfL has been working closely with Lewisham and Bromley to develop the case for the scheme and to explore options for funding an extension.

Specific discussions around the feasibility of an extension have also been held with officers from Lewisham, the borough in which the majority of the new infrastructure would be located. These have centred on the key engineering constraints around Lewisham town centre and Catford Stadium. The discussions have helped to shape the options that TfL is looking at.

TfL was also represented at a meeting between Isabel Dedring, Deputy Mayor for Transport, and Bromley Councillors on 25 April, at which a potential DLR extension was discussed.

TfL will continue to work with Bromley and Lewisham in developing the funding and feasibility studies for the scheme, and the results of these studies will be shared with the relevant boroughs and any other interested stakeholders.
