The TfL School Party Travel scheme continues to be a tremendous success, with record numbers of parties and children travelling.

In 2012, there were over 37 000 school party trips, with over 230,000 adults and 1.38 million children travelling.

The terms of the scheme have been unchanged for many years and I have no plans to change them.

The general level of off-peak travel on the Tube and the school population both continue to grow.

The limit of two trips per term and the focus of eligibility on cultural venues - visiting the London Museums etc - are essential to keep usage within manageable and affordable limits.
