I recently met my statutory health advisor, Dr Yvonne Doyle (London Regional Director, Public Health England) to discuss rates of measles in London. Public Health England (PHE) has advised me that there is no imminent threat of a large-scale outbreak of measles in London. I have also received assurances from Public Health England (London) that the current supply is sufficient to meet levels of need (including the current catch up campaign and small local outbreaks).

In the unlikely event of a widespread outbreak PHE has assured me that it is able to procure the necessary vaccines in high volumes at short notice.
