Question

Why does the Mayor think that the VCS does not deserve a say in pan-London health governance and cooperation, despite the diversity and scope of their work in delivering and supporting heath care services, given that he has not made room for a representative of the VCS on the London Health Board?

London's voluntary sector makes a huge contribution to the health and well-being of Londoners. The Board will call on the expertise of a wide range of organisations to meet its priorities, including VCS organisations.

I have appointed Tim Kelsey, National Director for Patients and Information, NHS England to the Board, who will represent patients and the public.
