In response to the consultation a location for a contact point is being identified in the Muswell Hill area by the Borough Commander.

MOPAC and the MPS consulted on Public Access plans as part of the consultation for the Police and Crime Plan. Although in Haringey Muswell Hill Police Station will be closing, the MPS will provide a 24/7 front counter at Tottenham Police Station and two standard front counters at Fishmongers Arms and Hornsey Police Station. Additionally new contact points will be provided in three locations; Turnpike Parade, Crouch Hall Road and Grove Business Park.

At Muswell Hill Police Station, the front counter services have been provided by valued volunteers for many years. During a recent footfall survey, an average of 8 callers a day came into Muswell Hill Police station. Emergency Response and Patrol officers do not deploy from Muswell Hill and owing to its age, it no longer meets operational policing needs.
