Following Recommendation 1 of the recent MPS Mental Health Review, Safeguarding issues will be contained within the MetChange strand 'Protecting Vulnerable Persons'.

A 'Vulnerability Assessment Framework 'is being developed to train all staff (including Safer Neighbourhood (SN) teams) regarding the identification of those at risk. It is already being delivered to new recruits, followed by a rollout commencing early summer 2013. MOPAC is currently looking at the training needs of SN Boards in order to equip them to fulfil their duties. It is hoped they will have an enhanced relationship with Neighbourhood Watch in the future.
