Officers are drafting a response which will be sent shortly.

Written response received on 31 May 2013.

There are currently 101 sergeants 'acting-up' as inspectors. The breakdown of these officers across business groups and Borough Command Units is set out in the table below.

The level of 'acting-up' reflects the fact that the MPS is currently in transition to the new One Met Model. This is being implemented in stages, starting with the Local Policing Model in Territorial Policing. The implementation of the Model in other areas of the MPS over coming months will release supervisors to fill other substantive Sergeant posts.
