I am extremely supportive of any employer who seeks to improve their workforce skills through apprenticeships - across all age-ranges. However, ensuring that more apprenticeships go to 16-24 yr old Londoners is a priority and I am working with the London Enterprise Panel and the National Apprenticeships Service to ensure that we support this. I am ensuring that apprenticeships are a critical part of Skills London 2013, London's largest careers and jobs fair and welcome the Government's new Traineeships programme which will support NEET Londoners into jobs and apprenticeships.
