Question

Some residential streets in the Blackheath Westcombe and Peninsula wards of Greenwich and their back gardens are separated from the A2 and A102 by low fencing. Standards dictate that this would be inadequate had the roads been built in the 1970s onwards, but this is not retrospective. Would the Mayor consider using some of TfL's surplus to improve the lives of TfL's neighbours?

Officers are drafting a response which will be sent shortly.

Written response received on 1 July 2013.

TfL's budget is devoted to improving the transport network.

TfL has undertaken an inspection of the 6ft fencing at this location and has found that it is in good condition. However, TfL will contact you to obtain additional details to better understand the concerns relating to the fencing here.
