The Mayor

Bromley is receiving a large slice of my Outer London Fund investment, amounting to £2.3 million across rounds 1 and 2, to help build confidence and improve business opportunity.

Last year support was delivered to local businesses and lively events were organised to attract people onto the high street, these efforts will continue over the next twelve months.

The finishing touches are also now being put to impressive designs to improve shopfronts, upgrade footways, enhance lighting and develop better, more attractive signage. These changes will soon be underway and will enhance the existing character of different areas of the town centre, like Bromley North Village, and help give a boost to local shops and restaurants and bring greater vitality to the whole of Bromley town centre.

Being part of a larger investment plan in the town centre as a whole, public and councillor consultation on the OLF programme was carried out at many events and meetings that the borough has run since early 2011 with lots of people joining in and voicing their support.
