Please list the range of alternative measures which you have stated will deliver around 200 per cent of the benefits forecast by the original proposal for phase 5 of the Low Emission Zone. Please provide the anticipated reduction for each pollutant (i.e. PM10, PM2.5, NOx).

During my air quality speech on 13th February I announced a number of new measures which would deliver approximately 200 per cent of the original NOx emission benefits of Low Emission Zone (LEZ) Phase 5.

Approximately 85 per cent of the expected NOx savings would still be delivered by my proposal to deliver LEZ Phase 5 for buses, including the replacement of the remaining Euro III buses in the fleet with cleaner Euro VI buses. An additional 40 per cent would be achieved through additional energy efficiency retrofit of more than 24,000 homes, public buildings and schools. Measures to reduce emissions from taxis including increased eco-driving training and new requirements for new taxis joining the fleet (which will be announced later this year) will deliver around 30 per cent. My new proposals to clean up construction sites will deliver around 35 per cent. Local measures delivered through the Mayor's Air Quality Fund will deliver the remaining 10 per cent.
