Have TfL or the Met Police Service carried out any pattern analysis in conjunction with the bus operators on collisions between buses and pedestrians to see if there are any common factors which additional training or other actions could deal with? TfL has conducted analysis of fatal collisions involving all types of vehicle and pedestrians in London which can be viewed at:

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/corporate/pedestrian-fatalities-i...

The causes of bus-pedestrians incidents that lead to injuries are established as part of bus operator investigations and any arising lessons learned are fed into driver updates and training.

TfL monitors operator investigations into major incidents on the bus network to understand the outcomes as well as statistical trends on incidents.

TfL London Buses and the MPS meet regularly to discuss safety issues of concern so there is regular liaison point over incidents including those involving buses and pedestrians in London.
