To date seven DE projects have been taken to market, representing a total investment of £43 million, or 64 per cent of DEPDU's August 2014 target of £67 million. The projects are: Bunhill Phase 1, Cranston Estate DE, Crystal Palace CHP, Royal Free Hospital CHP, Olympic Fringe District Heating Extension, South Kilburn DE, Goldsmiths College District Heating.

The unit is currently supporting the development of an additional 22 projects with an estimated total investment value of £304 million. Of these, five are in an advanced stage of development (commercialisation and procurement), and are expected to be brought to market by August 2014. They represent an investment of about £28.5m million. The remaining 17 projects are at different stages of development, mainly master planning and feasibility.
